Product Support Engineer
Support the daily manufacturing engineering requirements to ensure the on-time delivery of quality products;
Introduce fixturing, process and preventive maintenance improvements to ensure equipment up-time and support a robust manufacturing process;
Lead, or be a major contributor to, process and design improvements working with the Development Engineering Department, using Lean and Six Sigma techniques to eliminate non value-added activities;
Introduce capital equipment to improve process reliability;
Introduce custom engineered solutions opportunities
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with two to five years' experience;
Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities using Lean and Six Sigma techniques;
Familiarity with implementing robust manufacturing processes in an ISO 9001 environment;
Must be a “hands-on,” results-oriented team player;
Proficient at leading kaizen events and small teams to eliminate waste in manufacturing and support processes;
Solid mechanical engineering and manufacturing skill set, including fixturing, poke yoke and engineering drawings;
A disciplined, methodical approach to documentation;
Experience with Solidworks, C# and Adobe Illustrator; and
Design experience a plus.
