MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN

OBJECTIVE

The Manufacturing Technician provides support and solves problems relating to manufacturing methods, procedures, systems, tooling and equipment to achieve optimum quality and efficiency of product lines with minimum supervision.  This position also supports product information, which includes drawings, BOM’s, Work Instructions, ECR’s, CAD files, information sheets, specifications, and preventive maintenance, etc.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERTISE AND/OR ABILITIES
CONSISTENTLY REQUIRED

  • Trade School or High School diploma required.  A. S. Degree in a technical or Engineering (Mechanical) program or equivalent experience preferred. 

  • Two or more years’ experience in machining, maintenance or assembly technician role in a manufacturing environment; lean experience preferred. 

  • Solid understanding of Engineering principles with a proven track record of introducing manufacturing process improvements, identifying and executing preventive maintenance activities to ensure process uptime, and a methodical, disciplined approach to problem solving. 

  • Good working knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatic systems

  • team player with good communication skills

  • Must be “hands-on”.

  • Requires good computer skills with general programming; SolidWorks, Lean, and mistake-proofing experience is helpful.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify root causes and introduce process improvements that favorably impact quality, efficiency, uptime etc.

  • Troubleshoot and implement corrective action.

  • Provide daily technical support of manufacturing operations.

  • Provide documentation support for deviations, Work Instructions, Engineering Change Requests, etc.

  • Act as a resource for investigative activities and possible documentation changes for deviated parts.

  • Introduce and perform preventive maintenance activities.
